Dit boek doet precies wat het belooft: In 25 stappen uitleggen hoe de blockchain werkt. Het begint helemaal vanaf het begin, en bouwt stap voor stap verder aan het concept Blockchain. De blockchain wordt als het ware opgebouwd waar je bij zit. Iedere stap gaat weer iets dieper en probeert een klein probleem op te lossen totdat de puzzel uiteindelijk compleet is. Als ik een puntje van kritiek moet geven is dat de samenvattingen aan het eind van ieder hoofdstuk iets te 'opsommend' zijn en te weinig uitleggend. Het boek gebruikt metaforen om concepten tastbaar te maken, en blijft ver weg van zowel holle claims over de toekomst van blockchain en overdadig technisch taalgebruik. Er heersen veel misverstanden over blockchains (en cryptocurrencies), en het lezen van dit boek helpt om dingen in het juiste perspectief te zetten. Al met al, een uitstekend boek voor de beginner die zich in blockchain wil verdiepen. Als je al ervaring hebt met blockchain, kun je dit boek echter gerust overslaan.
