to the tips of your toes
Learn all about health
from a cool cat who knows!”

'We can have lots of good fun that is funny!'*

First there were Beginner Books. Then there were Bright and Early Books. Now the Cat in the Hat proudly presents 'Dr. Seuss Beginner Fun Books', pre-school activity books inspired by the many wonderful writings and drawings of Dr Seuss. There are funny words to read, easy activities to do, new things to learn, and funny stickers to make learning fun. When he wrote 'The Cat in the Hat' in 1957, Dr. Seuss proved once and for all that learning to read didn't 'have' to be dull. Now, with Dr. Seuss Beginner Fun Books, children can have fun that is funny while they're learning reading- and maths-readiness skills.

This title and others form part of a series of books that takes an off-beat look at nature and natural sciences through a fun combination of Seussian rhymes and zany illustrations. Aimed at early readers – from four to seven year olds – the books are designed to bridge the gap between concept books written for preschoolers and more formal non fiction titles that require fluent reading skills. By presenting the facts in a lively and rhythmic manner, they provide the critical foundation upon which complex facts and ideas can eventually be built.
