Horses in Art Pferde in Der Kunst

Man and horse form a unique symbiosis, which is as old as the history of humanity itself. Be it as a symbol of power, in sports or hunting scenes – horses have been among the important motifs in the visual arts throughout the millennia, from prehistoric times to the present today. The book sheds light on the preoccupation of artists from the most varied cultures and epochs with the horse in numerous images and fascinating short essays.
